From our beginning as a company, we have been working at implementing processes that not only reduce the direct costs of producing our products but also the indirect costs. These indirect costs are sometimes hard to see but often times substantial. The techniques that we have used since day one are often referred in the industry as LEAN manufacturing.
Through these LEAN techniques, we have been able to implement systems for our customers which have allowed them to decrease price and dramatically reduce inventory costs and ordering costs. We have done this with parts that range in volumes from a “few” to a “few” million. We have even implemented a “Quick-Ship” system where a growing number of standard parts are available next day, where there are no minimum order requirements.
